Band Letter RequirementsTo earn a Band Letter at Jefferson High School, one must accumulate 120 points from the opportunities provided below. One will earn a Bar when the point total reaches 360, then again 480. Students who earn accumulate the most points over a high school career will be eligible for senior awards.
All-State Band, Jazz Band Member (75) All-District Band, Jazz Band Member (50) District Solo Ensemble I (50) Accompanist (40) Band Leadership (40) All-District Band, Jazz Band Audition (40) All-State Band, Jazz Band Audition (40) District Solo Ensemble II (40) Senior Member of Band (40) Junior Member of Band (30) Jefferson County Honor Band (30) Tri-M Member (30) 100 percent Football Game Attendance (25) 100 percent BB Game (25) 100 percent Band Camp (20) 80 percent BB Game Attendance (20) Jazz Band (20) Sophomore (20) Freshman (10) |
